This window is an extraodinary
example of stained glass artistry. Standing 10 ft. wide and 5ft high a monumental
size with a sister window deplicting sunrise. Sunset is the artists depiction
of the end of the day showing an agingOak tree near a pond with a hard days
work completed of hay stacked in the background with the aging Oak trees.
Sunset is a pink, amberhaze of layers of glass. This window is a beautiful
example of multiple colors of glass and layering to create depth, usng confetti,
motted, and rippled glass. Confetti glass is used in the left panel in the
leaves of the Oak tree. Blue flash acid cut back is used on the back leaves
to create a blue hue. Tiffany used this method to create 3-D depth in his
windows. Because of its size this window is still in its crate, consiquently
this picture is from a lazer copy and does not show its depth. Look for
better photos in the future. Call 818-706-1411 for viewing or questons. |
